How to Apply
We request that organizations interested in applying for funding to first submit a letter of intent. This helps us gauge how many applications we will receive and better plan how we will review them in a timely and accurate manner. We also hope that by sharing what you are proposing, further collaboration can be fostered and perhaps new partnerships formed.
Step 1 . Review our guidelines.
First review our grantmaking guidelines and limitations to determine if your organization, program, or project is a fit. Again, we encourage you to contact us to discuss your ideas.
Step 2. Submit a letter of intent.
Your letter of intent should be brief (2-3 pages maximum) and should include the following information:
- Background on your organization – Briefly describe your organization’s mission, history and current programs.
- Purpose of funding – Tell us how our funds will be used. Briefly describe the need (or problem) your proposal will address and how it fits the IFMC Community Initiative and our priority areas for funding. Be sure to describe how you will measure your results.
Step 3: Submit a full application.
Only those projects or programs that meet our eligibility requirements and funding ability will be invited to submit a formal grant application for review. Please remember, this is a competitive grant process. An invitation to submit a proposal does not guarantee funding.
You will need to print your completed Grant Application and submit it to:
