Grant Application Review Process

Grant recipients are selected upon the review and recommendation of IFMC Community Initiative staff, Board of Directors, and possibly, independent reviewers or experts. We will notify all applicants of approval or declination in writing. The anticipated schedule for the annual grant cycle is as follows:

  • End of June: Announcement of Grants Program
  • End of September: Full applications due
  • End of October: Notify applicants of award selection
  • Mid November: Issue grant agreements
  • Mid November: Final reports due from previous year award recipients

Because a limited amount of funding is available, our process is highly competitive. As with any competitive process, the awards are given to those judged best among a pool of extraordinarily good applicants. The denial of a grant proposal should not be taken as a reflection of the merits of your organization or the value of your program or project.
