IFMC Community Initiative Seeks Grant Proposals

IFMC Community Initiative, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization established by the Iowa Foundation for Medical Care, is seeking grant proposals for programs that focus on - but are not restricted to - the following areas:

• Diabetes education, with an emphasis on education for underserved populations.
• Childhood obesity, with an emphasis on improving school lunch programs.
• Improved health education for seniors.
• Self-sufficiency for underserved populations, with an emphasis on health and financial literacy.

Programs and projects in Iowa and Illinois that address other health-related community issues may also apply.

Organizations interested in applying for funding should review eligibility requirements, learn about the application process and submit letters of intent by going to www.ifmc.org and clicking on "IFMC Community Initiative." Deadline to submit letters is July 21, 2006
